Berlin-based drummer, composer and producer Peter Gall was born 1983 in Bad Aibling (south of Germany). Peter studied drums with John Riley, John Hollenbeck and further trained his compositional skills with Phil Markowitz, Dave Liebman or Jim McNeely. He holds a diploma from the University of the Arts Berlin and lived in New York City for two years based on a DAAD-Scholarship. He graduated with a Master Of Music from Manhattan School of Music.

Peter can be heard on over 40 albums and is a sought-after studio musician in various musical genres from jazz to pop to even indie or electronic music: recently he appeared on albums by the world famous Ben Schneider (Lord Huron) or David August.
„Paradox Dreambox“, the first album under his own name released in 2018, got critically acclaimed and enthusiastic reviews. In 2021 he won the prestigious BMW Welt Jazz Award with the „Peter Gall Quintet“.
Peter is also a passionate educator. He is holding a professorship at Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim and is teaching Jazz-Drums and -Ensemble.
The new album LOVE AVATAR is Gall’s most elaborate and intense work to date, featuring a dreamlike line-up of top musicians of the european scene. Peter has poured all his energy and passion for music into this profect – a true labor of love.
